Fall bird migration walk at Bear Pond Natural Area

Grab your binoculars and join the Upper Valley Land Trust for a fall birding walk at Bear Pond Natural Area. This special property is one of UVLT’s largest and most biodiverse, boasting 95 acres of peat bog and 65 acres of wetland near the headwaters of the Mascoma River. Songbirds will still be migrating through the Upper Valley on their way south for the winter, so this may be a good opportunity to practice identifying birds in their more difficult fall plumage.  In addition to birding, we’ll spend some time examining, identifying, and appreciating plants in the bog using iNaturalist and admiring the lovely fall foliage of this special place!
